Youth Ministries
You are invited to join a dynamic group of young adults as we play and pray together.
Monthly Activities
The Youth Group gets together every month for a larger activity. It may be a fun fellowship activity such as a canoe trip, an all-night lock in or a trip to Mall of America, or it could be a helpful stewardship event like Lenten Soup suppers or delivering May baskets. Join us!
The Youth Board
All of our Youth Ministry events and activities are planned and publicized by a group of young leaders in our church. Youth from each grade level have volunteered to be on the Youth Board which meets monthly to decide what they would like to do together as a group. Then they write newsletter articles for each Pipe Night and Monthly Activity that is chosen. Adult advisors are also a big part of this monthly meeting providing financial guidance and ideas for chaperones, transportation, etc.
Special Youth Ministry Groups
We have two ministry teams in our Youth Program that meet periodically to share their faith in unique ways. If you are interested in sharing your faith and ministering to others, you might like to join one of these groups:
The Good Shepherd's Fools Clown Troupe
This team creates and presents skits at Good Shepherd during Worship services and for other special events. They have also traveled to other churches to spread the Gospel message.
Good Shepherd Puppet Team
Using silly songs and creative movement, puppets can really minister to children and adults. Our youth group is just beginning to learn about puppetry but we already have a fan club. You will see us in action at Vacation Bible School this summer.
