Our current Confirmation ministries are open to member and non-church members. We believe that faith is caught through personal and trusted relationship which is why we have Mentors who focus on small groups with youth in 7th-9th grade. We are currently in construction of our Confirmation program for the next school year.
As in all children and youth ministries at Good Shepherd, we surround the youth with adults who are available, authentic, and affirming (AAA adults). We care about creating an environment where youth feel safe, loved, needed and cared for. We strive to show the youth that they are the future of the church and they have gifts and talents to offer to Good Shepherd, Eau Claire and the world.
Here are a few opportunities youth in our Confirmation ministry can experience:
Experience faith in new ways (all year long)
Middle School Youth Gathering (April)
High and Low Ropes course (Fall or Spring)
Mission Trips (for our 8th and 9th grade students)
Volunteering at local community projects and Vacation Bible School (all year long)
Meeting new youth and growing friendships (all year long)
