Prayer Ministry

"Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.  For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened." (Matthew 7: 7-8)

We the people of the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd believe in the power of prayer.  God promises to hear and also to answer our prayers.  The answers that God gives may not be the answers we are looking for, but in God's own time, God does provide us with answers to all of our prayers.

At Good Shepherd, we have a special group of people who have devoted themselves to a ministry of prayer.  They are committed to intercessory prayer --- praying for the needs of others.  If you or someone you know has a special need and desires the prayerful support of a Christian community, please write to us or send us an email message.  We will respond immediately by letting our prayer ministry team know of your request, and you can be sure that we at Good Shepherd will be praying for you!  If you prefer to notify us by telephone, please call our church office at (715) 834-2959.
